One day at a time...

Today is Tuesday. We met with my sister and her husband at our lake house. The four of us met with two builders to determine what it might cost to build a garage on our property. We need a 24x30' garage to house our boat in the winter, a car and golf cart. We also need to have extensive landscaping done for the place. It's par now and we can see it being so much better with a garage and finished walk-out basement. The question is which provides the highest return if we decide to sell. I'm thinking the basement. Not all of the lake houses have garages, but most do have finished basements. We recently refinanced and got docked because our basement has two wonderful walk-out doors but remains unfinished. It is preped for a laundry room, bathroom,, and whatever else we want. Right now we use it to store water toys, laundry and a nice gym facility with top notch weight equipment. Doing all this research and discussion is exhausting!
